CINCINNATI, OH – April 22, 2015 —Sunset Players opens WAIT UNTIL DARK by Frederick Knott as part of its 35th anniversary season at the Arts Center at Dunham.
Directed by Jerry Yearout and presented by special arrangements with Dramatists Play Service, Inc., WAIT UNTIL DARK is a thriller revolving around a sinister con man and two ex-convicts who meet their match in a blind housewife named Susy. Susy becomes the target of the three con men who are searching for heroin hidden in a doll, which her husband Sam innocently transported from Canada as a favor to a strange woman. When the woman is murdered, the situation becomes more urgent and a deadly game of cat and mouse ensues.
The cast includes:
- Natasha Boeckmann as Susy Hendrix
- Eve Roth as Gloria
- Richard Zenk as Harry Roat, Jr.
- Boyang Zhang as Mike Talman
- Bob Kelley as Sgt. Carlino
- Thad Airhart as Sam Hendrix
- Mike Burke as a Police Officer
Performance dates are May 1, 2, 8, 9, 10, 14, 15, and 16. Shows begin at 8:00 p.m. with a Sunday performance starting at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $14 general admission or $12 for seniors, students or groups of 10 or more.
On April 30, a special dinner theater performance will be held to benefit the Dunham Advisory Board. Tickets for the special dinner theater cost $25 with dinner starting at 6:30 p.m.
Other special dates include:
- May 9: Cincinnati State’s Interpreter Training Program will provide sign language interpreting for the deaf community.
- May 10: Mother’s Day special with a free ticket to CLYBOURNE PARK for all mothers.
- May 14, 15 & 16: Sunset Players will offer a cash bar of beer and wine.

In its 35th season, Sunset Players, Inc. is a community theater group located on the west side of Cincinnati.
