If you were a music lover in the 60s and 70s, you probably listened to songs written by Burt Bacharach and Hal David. These two writers composed music for many movies (“Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head”) as well as many of the popular singers of the time (Dionne Warwick and others).
The THE LOOK OF LOVE, a musical revue featuring the music of Burt Bacharach and Hal David, features these songs and many others.
The THE LOOK OF LOVE opens on Sat., Jan. 10 as part of the Lebanon Theatre Company’s Red Carpet Gala Fundraiser. The fundraiser begins at 6 p.m. at the Golden Lamb in Lebanon. Guests will enter by an ice sculpture on a red carpet to wine tasting with food pairings and the Lamb’s famous sauerkraut balls. The first course is Seared Scallop, Thai Chili Risotto, and Julienne Green Apple. The entree is a duo of Warren County Beef, Braised with Cabernet & Seared Medium, Madeira Wine & Black Truffles.
After dinner, guests will come to the Mechanic Street Playhouse for the revue as well as desserts. Gala tickets are $90 each and can be reserved by calling (513) 228-0932 or ordering online at LTCplays.com.
