JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT at SCPA, Nov. 6-9

JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT
November 6th-9th, 2014 in the SCPA Corbett Theater

SCPA_JosephThe School for Creative & Performing Arts, a proud Cincinnati Public School and the only K-12 Public Arts School in the U.S., proudly presents an amateur production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT, featuring some of Cincinnati’s most talented young artists in grades 5-12. All performances take place in the new Erich Kunzel Center for Arts & Education in Over-the-Rhine next to Washington Park and Music Hall. In addition to four evening and weekend public performances, SCPA will present two school day matinee performances for visiting schools and other groups. The show opens on Thursday, November 6, 2014.

SCPA’s students are involved in every aspect of the production, including the pit orchestra, set design and construction, lighting, costuming, and stage management.

The show features charming lyrics, catchy tunes, and vibrant characters. From a knee slappin’ hoedown, flashy dance-club disco, and a parody of French ballads, to bubblegum pop, Caribbean calypso, and a 1950’s rock n’ roll number, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat serves up a kaleidoscope of musical genres, that help paint the story of a dreamer whose dreams came true.

SCPA’s amateur production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT is presented through an exclusive arrangement with R & H Theatricals and The Really Useful Group Limited and is supported in part by the Charles H. Dater Foundation and the Ohio Arts Council.

Tickets are just $20.00 for adults, $15.00 for seniors and $13.00 for students and children. To purchase tickets for all public shows visit the SCPA Box Office Monday-Friday 12:00-5:00PM and 1 hour prior to all show times or purchase tickets online at http://www.showclix.com/events/8164.
