Director Jef Brown will hold auditions for the Mariemont Players production of Is Life Worth Living?, a comedy by Lennox Robinson, at the Walton Creek Theater, 4101 Walton Creek Road (just east of Mariemont) at 7:00pm on Monday, July 14th and at 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 16th, 2014.
One summer, the Irish seaside town of Inish invites drama into their lives — with transforming and very funny results. Enter the De La Mare Repertory Company, whose mission is to revolutionize the souls of their audience with serious, intellectual plays. The citizens are moved and delighted by the works of Ibsen, Strindberg and Chekov, but the town begins to change as the once happy-go-lucky citizens see the world through the lens of these melancholic classics. A delightful ensemble comedy and a little-seen Irish gem.
The cast will consist of seven actors and four actresses, 20s and older. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.
The production will be staged November 7th through November 23rd, 2014.
