The League of Cincinnati Theatres is asking local audiences to choose their favorite play of the 2012-2013 year. The AUDIENCE FAVORITE AWARD will be one of the many special awards the League is presenting May 20th at their annual Awards Gala.
“Audiences can go to our website and vote for their favorite play or musical,” says League President Cathy Springfield. “Of course, we fully anticipate our college and YP theatres to dominate this computer voting process, but hey, they may also have dominated the LCT Panel Awards by bringing this kind of enthusiasm on stage as well. Come to our Gala and find out!” she encourages.
Audiences can vote at www.leagueofcincytheatres.com or by visiting the LCT Facebook page. Voting will continue until the winner is announced, live at the Gala.
The finalists for Best Play include:
- A Behanding in Spokane, Clifton Players
- Mrs. Mannerly, Ensemble Theatre
- Red Light Winter, Untethered Theatre
- To Kill a Mockingbird, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
- When the Rain Stops Falling, Know Theatre
And the Finalists for Best Main Stage Musical include:
