When a poor miller’s son inherits a cat, he despairs of ever being rich and famous. But this is no ordinary cat! This clever feline’s schemes soon have the two adventurers hanging out with royalty and even hatching plans to marry a princess! But before they do, they’ll have to rescue the kingdom from a terrible, tree-eating, human-snacking Ogre! Recommended for ages 4 and up. Approximate running time: 60 minutes

Originally produced by the Women’s Project at the American Place Theatre in New York, Alice enjoyed a long run at the Village Gate Off-Broadway. This slick and lively revue created by a wide variety of comedy writers, lyricists and composers offers a marvelous kaleidoscope of contemporary women. Sophisticated, bawdy, funny and insightful, the twenty numbers portray friends, rivals, sisters and even members of an all-women’s basketball team. Winner of the Outer Critics’ Circle Award, Best Musical.

A musical that is fun for all ages, SEUSSICAL is based on the works of Dr. Seuss. SEUSSICAL isn’t a string of Dr. Seuss’s stories and it isn’t just one of his stories. It is a new full length musical with a story that weaves together his most famous tales. SEUSSICAL incorporates elements from at least 15 of his books as well as many of his most loved characters. From The Cat in The Hat to Horton to even the Grinch, the characters travel everywhere from the Jungle of Nool to McEligott’s Pool to Palm Beach.

In DON’T CROSS THE STREAMS, a popular early ‘80s film about ghosts and the people who bust them is receiving a stage musical adaptation by a New Jersey theatre company. When their world is shattered by a “cease and desist” letter from the lawyers of Columbia Pictures, the cast and crew give the show a new title, make delirious changes to an increasingly unrecognizable script and recruit a handsomely clueless soap opera actor to play the role of Peter Venkman. Silly string ion streams are unleashed and a giant Twinkie kicks a man in groin in a madcap theatrical farce a la “Waiting for Guffman.”
