OTRimprov (OTRi), a member of Know Theatre of Cincinnati’s Jackson Street Market, is proud to announce a summer schedule of long and short form improvisational performances and workshops at Know Theatre of Cincinnati. The Summer Series kicks off with Tuesday, June 19’s show, The Impend-ing Improv-calypse. During the upcoming summer series, OTRi will bring back two nights of The Chronicle as well continue to experiment with of short-form and long-form improv in several other productions, including The Stuesday Send-Off Summer Spectacular, an elimination-style evening of short form in honor of OTRi member Stuart McNeil’s final performance with the group.

OTRi is also excited to offer improv comedy workshops, open to the general public, on 7/7, 7/21, and 8/4. Each class is $25, or you can attend all three for $65. No experience is required and you may attend any workshop (no prerequisites.) Members of the OTRi team have studied at improv training centers around the country (including Se-cond City, iO Chicago and iOWest) and come from all walks of life and various communities in Great-er Cincinnati to bring their own brand of humor to both short-form and long-form improvisation. Each show features different styles, formats, and members of the team as we continue to experiment, grow, and adapt as we explore the art of improvisation.

########

OTRimprov is an improvisational comedy troupe that’s makes its home at Know Theatre of Cincinnati as part of Know Theatre’s Jackson Street Market. Recognizing the distinct lack of regularly scheduled improv perfor-mances in Cincinnati, especially Downtown and in Over-the-Rhine, OTRi looks to provide this particular brand of entertainment in order to entertain the masses and further strengthen Cincinnati’s established arts community.

Know Theatre’s Jackson Street Market seeks to provide opportunity to local artistic entrepreneurs, to leverage Know Theatre’s resources on their behalf, and to build upon the strengths of our artistic community by creating a space where they can experiment and play with new ideas. Know Theatre’s mission is to create evocative and explosive live entertainment. We vision a world awakened to its collective possibility. We value a playful artistic community where artists can collaborate and grow. More information about The Jackson Street Market and our current productions can be found at http://www.knowtheatre.com.
