The Passing of Cathy Ann Creason

Cincinnati – Cathy Ann Creason, 65, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away from metastatic cancer on Tuesday, July 20, 2021. She is most remembered from her time at St. Xavier High School, where she taught English for 25 years and and served as Theatre Xavier’ vocal director for years beyond that. Her beautiful voice moved thousands at countless religious services throughout the city. She was the daughter of Dr. Jack T. Creason and Montelle J. “Peggy” (Jewell) Creason, both deceased.

Arrangements by Spring Grove Funeral Homes in Cincinnati, OH. Burial will be in the Benton Cemetery, Benton, KY. A private celebration of her life will be held by close friends in the near future. The Passing of Jhon Marshall

MISC_Jhon Marshallhon William Marshall, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The son of the late Clifford and Maria Marshall, he is survived by family members Kathryn, Bill, Michael, Lori, Larry, Emily, Seth, Grace, Ava, Ben, and Michelle.

Marshall produced and directed more than one hundred plays in his years as an educator and community theatre aficionado. As an actor he performed at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the Showboat Majestic, and several community theatre stages.

Upon his retirement from teaching, May 24, 1996 was declared “Jhon Marshall Day” in Cincinnati. Following retirement he continued to make an impact by working at the home office of the Educational Theatre Association. A member of both the Ohio and National EDTA Hall of Fame, Marshall always wanted his students to “develop a sense of ensemble, stressing that every student involved with the production in any capacity shared an equal responsibility for its ultimate success.”

The Passing of Austin Dale Moore

NKU_Austin Dale MooreThe School of the Arts fondly remembers former student Austin Dale Moore who passed away of kidney disease on Dec. 27, 2020, at the age of 25. Austin was an active participant in Music and Theatre at NKU, sharing his bright and shining spirit with all who knew him. Some may remember his ebullient personality as a barista on campus at Starbucks. “He always strived to put a smile on the face of everyone he met.”

GoFundMe has been established to help Austin’s mother with medical expenses.
