Set in a 1950s neighborhood where lawns are immaculate but equality is far from it, Grass Roots follows the Gibson family—the first Black homeowners on the block—as they confront the quiet, cutting injustices of daily life. When the neighborhood mailman shows respect to every white household but pointedly tramples across the Gibsons’ carefully kept lawn, a tense standoff brews between dignity and discrimination.
