By Mark Eisman

Teenager Michelle comes from a family of figure skaters. Her parents were pairs skaters. Her siblings are ice dancers. She has inherited none of their talent. She despises ice and cannot remain vertical on its hard slick surface. She has nightmares of drowning abandoned on Antarctica. When her mother Teresa’s star pupil, ice princess Margaret, moves in, it is time for Michelle to move out. She has found something she is good in, and it sends her on a journey into a new world and a new family.  With the help of her coach and her teammate, Michelle finally has her chance to go for gold. Mark Eisman returns to the Y.E.S. FESTIVAL, having received a production of his play A PASSION FOR BRANDY in 2001.
