LUNA GALE is a very contemporary play about a veteran social worker who believes she has a typical case on her hands when she meets two teenage drug addicts accused of neglecting their baby daughter, Luna Gale. The social worker places the six month old baby in the care of her maternal grandmother, Cindy, who requests permanent adoption. Is it better for the child to be reared by a rabidly evangelical grandmother or eventually to be reunited with the rehabilitated parents? This is a play about moral dilemma, faith and forgiveness.

Casting Requirements:

• Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script.
  
• A résumé and headshot are not required but are encouraged.
  
• Please bring all scheduling conflicts between Nov 23, 2016 and Feb 5, 2017.

• Caroline: middle age, social worker
  
• Karlie: nineteen, Luna’s mother
  
• Peter: nineteen, Luna’s father
• Cindy: Karlie’s mother
• Lourdes: female, around Karlie’s age
  
• Cliff: Caroline’s boss
  
• Pastor Jay: Cindy’s pastor
