The battle for civil rights in the deep south was different from the rest of the nation. When Virgil Tibbs, a successful, black homicide detective from Los Angeles gets caught up in a homicide investigation in Argo, Alabama, he discovers just how different this world is. A gripping detective thriller in its own right, this play shows the ugly side of race relations in the south of the early 60s.
