Due to a family illness, Actor’s and Playwright’s Collaborative and New Edgecliff Theatre are seeking to cast a replacement for the role of Sergeant MacDougal in the upcoming production of SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS..
The Christmas Truce of 1914 receives a rare dramatic interpretation in the world premiere production of SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS, playing December 12 – 21 at Northern Kentucky University’s Corbet Theatre. Produced by Actors & Playwrights Collaborative with New Edgecliff Theatre, SOLDIER’S CHRISTMAS is written by Philip Paradis and directed by Robert Allen.
Inspired by The Christmas Truce of 1914, Soldier’s Christmas is set in Belgium in late December 1914, and presents the story of how British and German soldiers met in the middle of No-man’s-land, negotiated a truce, and celebrated Christmas together during a temporary ceasefire.
The character is a Scottish Sergeant in His Majesty’s Army during WWI. The ability to do a Scottish brogue is requested. This is a paid position.
Rehearsals have just started.
Auditions will be held at Northern Kentucky University Sunday 11/16/14 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will be reading from the script.
